The design methodology adopted in this project involve, switching unit, micro controller unit and the power supply unit, power supplies mains utility, alternative energy source (generators), or renewable energy (solar), output terminal (to load).
Sequences of Operation of the Automatic Changeover Switch
1. It sequences in such a way that at turn on, it does a countdown for some seconds
2. Then, if by chance the three mains are present at the same time, it does a seconds countdown to switch to the best supply i.e. national grid.
3. On the other hand, the moment the mains fail, it does another seconds countdown to switch to the next present alternative AC supply(Generator/Inverter)
4. When the national grid mains are available again, it does another seconds countdown to switch back to it.
5. And the process repeat itself.
